I set out on an Abbot Kinney adventure, my singular focus was the allure of the Apple Doll Cosmetics (@appledoll) pop-up shop. Which had a very promising, fun, girly, and chill vibe. In front of the shop, you’re greeted by a striking sculpture—a delicate hand cradling the latest gem in their collection, the True Love Blush. Inside five standalone glass tables are showcasing the variety of Apple Doll products, each meticulously curated to captivate the senses.
My first impression of the Apple Doll pop up shop is elegantly decorated with the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen. It’s all so very inviting. The Apple Doll girl is someone who wants quality products that are cute and for any occasion. The vibe is a cool, clean girl with an edgy glam side based on their brand’s photography aesthetic (which is totally up my alley and YES they sell prints!)
The Apple Doll pop-up shop is offering several deals.
One of them is: that you can bring in any old mascara, and they’ll accept it and swap it for the Velvet Liner, a longer felt-tip eyeliner designed to sculpt the perfect cat eye with its sharp precision, and their Tarantula mascara which is friendly to our straight lashed friends.
At the store they were offering alongside their cosmetics, you’ll find merchandise to complement your style, from Sparkle tanks bedazzled with gemstones bearing the iconic “Apple Doll” logo, offered at a discounted price of $28 with a generous 25% off in-store. Exclusive cute t-shirts to add to your wardrobe, available solely at the pop-up.
Fortunately, we had an opportunity to explicitly test a small set of the products from the Apple Doll line.

For eyes,
Velvet Liner is truly blacker than black with a very precise tip that makes doing your liner a lot easier.
Tarantula Volumizing mascara lengthens lashes without smudging, thanks to its tubing formula.
For lips,
The Nectar Salve All-over balm, one of our favorite products!
and its tinted counterpart,
Tinted Nectar Salve in the color “DEW”, offering hydration and a subtle hint of color to the lips.
Kiss Matte Lipstick which is a matte lip that has high-performance spherical powders that blend into lines. It’s a cross between lipstick and cushiony balm.
I got the shades in “TEMPERANCE” which is (True Taupe)
and “DIVINE” (a rich blackberry hue), which are just one of many available shades Apple Doll offers. With these lipsticks, it can go from a tinted pout to a bold moisturizing lip.. (very buildable)
For cheeks,
True Love Blush in “FLORA” steals the show with its heart shape which you can literally stamp hearts on your face with, also offering buildable coverage and with the shade FLORA you can have a cherry-tinted flush(which can also be used on the lips as a tint too!)
With a clean, girlie aesthetic that effortlessly transitions from everyday to edgy, catering to both makeup novices and MUA enthusiasts alike. THE VERDICT:
Though we enjoyed every one of these products we do have our favorites:
The Nectar Salve ($20): My favorite product from Apple Doll. I would highly suggest this for summer glow and for winter dry spots. The Nectar Salve is deliciously moisturizing on the lips.
The Kiss Matte Lipstick ($24) I Got the shade “Temperance”
which is more of an everyday lip.
“Divine” is for a glam night. As matte lipsticks go these are very comfortable, not drying. The lipstick feels lovely on the lips for all day leisure.
Tinted Nectar Salve ($20) a great tinted lip gloss just as moisturizing as the Nectar Salve.
Velvet Liner ($22)It stays and slays in black all day. I went on a long walk on the beach & at the end my liner was still untouched.
True Love Blush ($22) These blush colors blend so well on the face and it smooths everything!
Tarantula Mascara ($26) Just like they said it would, It coated every lash singularly and didn’t smudge!
